Cleansing with Fire

Remember those brush fires in Cal - E - Fornia awhile back? (I always say it in my head like the guvunuh now.) Well the truth is the reason it happened was not a terrorist act, as FOXnews speculated, but arson. Or unintentional arson. Whichever. But the reason it was so out of control is that regular wildfires rejuvenate forests, not decimate. They clear out underbrush that would prevent new tree growth. Also, the reason the fires were so bad is that we have been preventing them which made the underbrush coupled with the Santa Ana winds a deadly combination.

I find this works with life as well. I've never been one to sheen to gradual change. I think the best way to move on or make a change is a purge. That's why if I secure this new job I am looking at I am going to quit this one. No 2 week notice. I hope it comes to pass...
