Who we are and who we want to be is too often a goal in which we all hold but attempt so lazily. I am not referring to a complete personality/life change. It is about having the courage to Be in the moment. Here, I am defining courage as having the knowledge to know what is to be approached passively and what is to be dared.
To have this kind of knowledge, who we are must coincide with who we want to be. When they do, we'll come to know when to dare and, more importantly, what we want. What do you want? What are your goals? Who do you want to be?
Suppose you're looking to take a higher position in the workplace, but you can't bring yourself to hold the courage to challenge. Seize that moment. Do it. Don't wait for life to hold your hand.
We all have goals, but there is a clear difference between one who waits and watches and one who has the will to Be. Have the courage to stand out. I believe, one can do whatever he or she wants. They must, of course, ask themselves how bad they want it, seize opportunities intelligently, and in some cases be a little selfish.
So what are your thoughts? What are your goals and passions? What makes you get out of bed every morning? I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks for the canvas 'thew

Well, internet *that's what I have to call you since you've put no alias or identifier*, what gets me out of bed is usually the alarm clock. But why I dont then hop directly back into bed after turning the damn thing off is this: the sheer idea that I might miss something amazing. My goals and passions are ever evolving but I will tell you that I am reaching a goal I've had for probably 15 years...and that is to go to Ireland. I will be going next week. As for the rest....I'll let you know when I achieve them.

Ireland sounds great. Good for you. My paragraph was directed in response to the help wanted sign you left in the window.(Although, I did enjoy hearing your thoughts) If your readers respond as generously as yourself, I'd feel compelled, without ostentation, to write another paragraph or two if the canvas was left open again. I'm just a fan who wants to help.

Poor Richard will do by the way

Poor Richard...

If you want to comment as yourself I believe there is a radio button below the text box for comments....if you switch to Name/URL you should be able to post as such....

Help is as you feel. Ill take what I can get...many have been sending links, but honestly the hardest part is getting a paragraph or two together for the "monologue" at the beginning.

Write one for me, an entire post if you're feeling frisky. You know the feel of the page...stick to it but give it flavor. I feel Ive started a format(created ice cream) but I'm looking for contributorship(flavors). I'll take anything I can get, though you seem glib, Poor Richard and I'd like to see a full guest post if you are up for it. If you do this will allow me to increase the frequency of posts on the site.

Go for it!

I'll gladly accept your challenge. Same ice cream, new flavor. How should I send it to you?
